Dear ASFG Community,
We hope this message finds you well. We are thrilled to extend a formal invitation to students, parents, and alumni to this year’s GUAMUN 2025 Opening Ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the ASFG Auditorium with our guest speaker Isabel Riojas Javelly, Class of 2015 alumni and an early member of the GUAMUN (Guadalajara Model United Nations) simulations.
Additionally, we will host a keynote presentation on Friday, January 17 at 1:00 p.m. with Veronica Delgadillo, a distinguished Mexican politician who made history as the first woman elected Mayor of Guadalajara. She founded México Joven A.C., an organization dedicated to fostering a new national vision. In her speech, “Luchando como Niña,” she will share her journey as a woman in the world of politics, highlighting the challenges she has overcome in a male-dominated field. The session will include a brief Q&A segment, allowing the audience to engage with her.
Please complete the registration form if you would like to join us for the keynote presentation. While the entrance is free, we welcome voluntary donations to support the organization of this event. Learn more about this student-led project in the following video. If you have any questions, please contact me at 26maruribe@asfg.edu.mx or guamun@asfg.edu.mx.
We hope to see you at both events!
Sincerely,
Maria Zoe Uribe Lozano
