Are you new to the ASFG community?

Welcome to ASFG!

Many of the questions you may have can very likely be answered in our school's Parent Student Handbook that all ASFG families receive at the beginning of each school year. We recommend that you take a close look at this document as it describes many policies and procedures that are important for our school.

Throughout the school year ASFG offers a series of workshops and events that may help in the adjustment to your new home. Among these workshops and events are:

New Students and Families Welcome

An event is hosted by our Director General, Mexican Program and each Academic section (Elementary, Middle and High School) for new students from P1st to 12th grade and their families.

On this day, new students learn about their day-to-day schedules, classes, teachers, lockers. They get to know other new students and families, and recieve important information for the first day of classes.

New Parents Welcome

All new parents are invited to attend this Parent Welcome hosted by our Director General.

Usually held in September, the New Parent Welcome gives the families a chance to meet the school administration and learn about the school's history, governance, and what it offers students.

It is also a chance for families to meet other new families.

Cultural Adaptation Presentations for New International Families

Conferences presented by our school's Counselor Team in the month of October (part 1) and a second session offered in February (part 2).

We know that coming to a new country is not easy and that encountering new people, new food, a new city, and a new language, can prove to be very challenging.

We want to be able to provide you and your family information and helpful tips regarding the adaptation process.

International families breakfast

A casual breakfast time organized outside the school, by the Parents Association to provide a friendly space for new international families, usually mothers, to get to know each other better and provide a space to share individual experiences open lines of communication between the families, the parents association and the school.

Below, we have collected some of the most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) we hear from new families. If you still have unanswered questions after looking at the handbook, website, and our FAQs, please feel free to contact your child's section office for information.

We would like to know if your family is having a difficult time adjusting to ASFG. The school's Admissions Office (admissions@asfg.edu.mx) is a contact for putting new families in touch with veteran families from the Parents Association. Please let us know if you need additional support.
