Elementary Program

All elementary children participate in a bilingual program that consists of the accredited US curricular English program and the official SEJ (Secretaría de Educación Jalisco) Mexican program.

We serve students from Pre-First through Fourth grade, and take pride in serving as a bridge between our Early Childhood and Middle Schools. Our elementary team is made up of a dedicated group of North American & Mexican program teachers, as well as a talented specialist team of educators who enrich children’s school experience through art, library, music, physical education, science, social-emotional learning, and technology. The elementary team is supported and advanced by our instructional coaches, learning support staff as well as teaching assistants and monitors. At the core of our elementary program is our focus on Social Emotional Learning.

The Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP, Mexican Education Secretariat) revalidates ASFG studies for grades Pre-First through 4th. ASFG's accreditations and high academic standards allow students to transfer to other schools around the world seamlessly. Foreign students who do not speak Spanish attend our Spanish as a Second Language class until they are ready to be integrated into the Mexican program.

Activities

We believe physical activity & STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) are an essential part of your child's growth and development. These are 21st century skills that will be necessary for success in the ever changing world we live in. Our classes provide the critical & creative thinking skills your child needs. The elementary section follows a six-day cycle.  This cycle allows us to provide a consistent and ongoing program for our co-curricular classes.
