Community

ASFG believes in community.

At ASFG we believe that together, we can accomplish great things. We build community through our Parent Association, we keep building our relationship with our Alumni through various events, we invite our community to get involved in our various sustainability initiatives, and we involve our students in impactful service learning projects!

Alumni

The Alumni Association was established in 1995 during the tenure of Charles Prince as Director General. It supports with great enthusiasm the ASFG’s educational mission and vision. We organize reunions, events, fundraising, and collaborations during the year to provide an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with ASFG and enhance networking and collaboration within the alumni community.

Parents Association

The Parents Association at ASFG is a voluntary group with a bilateral objective. It collaborates with school authorities, representing and supporting parents and students, to enhance the educational and social experience at the school, serving as the link for effective communication that promotes the well-being of the community.

ASFG Green

ASFG has been educating students for sustainability since the early 90s. In 2009 our green committee formed to guide sustainability planning. Comprised of students, parents & staff, this committee works to foster environmental sustainability in our community, with the vision of becoming a carbon-neutral campus. The committee’s work and campus sustainability infrastructure is in part funded by selling our recyclable materials to reputable, registered local recycling companies

Service Learning

The mission of the Service Learning program at ASFG is to develop caring and responsible students who have a deep understanding of the social and environmental needs of the community around them and to provide opportunities to develop the skills and vision necessary to address those needs.
