Dear ASFG Community,
We are very pleased to inform you that we have begun construction of Tower B. This tower will be adjacent to the administrative building and will initially provide the spaces required to house classrooms that will be demolished in preparation for the construction of Phase 2 of the new campus building. Once Phase 2 of the new campus is completed, this tower will provide necessary space for administrative and academic offices.
The work will consist of the construction of 5 levels and 1 basement. The construction of this new building is estimated to last 12 months and is scheduled to conclude in December 2025.
We understand that there will be some inconveniences as construction work progresses, mainly noise and dust, as well as traffic congestion on Filadelfia Street which is where the entrance to the construction site will be located. The security team is in coordination with the project management team in charge of the construction to avoid the entrance and exit of vehicles from the site during student drop-off and pick-up hours for the Filadelfia Lot Door 3. However, there will be occasions when Door 3 will have to close and student drop-off and pick-up will be done through the Upper School parking lot Door 5. When this needs to happen, the security team will inform you in a timely manner. The project management team is also actively working to minimize disruption to the few adjacent classrooms during school hours, and plans to schedule the start of the noisier construction work for after 2:30 p.m.
