Dear ASFG Parents,
You and your children are cordially invited to celebrate our ASFG Giving Celebration, which combines the Empty Bowls and the Winter Celebration events of past years. It will take place on Wednesday, December 11th from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to continue our support of Organization for Infant Nutrition (ONI) and to celebrate a classic Mexican tradition with the rest of our ASFG community. We hope to capture the giving spirit of the holidays and come together as a community one last time before the end of 2024.
We will start the evening at 4:30 p.m. with the Empty Bowls sale and the traditional soup that accompanies the Empty Bowls/ONI contribution. There will also be a silent auction of special artwork from students, all in aid of ONI. This year for the Elementary section, Pre-1st, 2nd and 4th will be exhibiting their artwork during the event. 1st and 3rd grade will have their artwork showcased during ArtFest.
The ASFG Parent’s Association will provide tamales, buñuelos, and hot cider, all free of charge, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Some of our service learning groups will organize games, craft booths, and other fundraisers for their community service projects. In the spirit of the season, we hope you enjoy these activities while at the same time knowing you are making a donation to a deserving organization. Donations are strictly voluntary and greatly appreciated!
Our entertainment will include musical presentations from ASFG’s elementary, middle, and high schools. There will also be an opportunity for children to be photographed with Santa Claus, as in past years, organized by Early Childhood parents and Ms. Tina Carstensen. We hope that you will join us on this special evening!
