We are proud to share the news that Miss Lolis Gallegos, eighth-grade Spanish teacher, wrote the article “Climate change education matters: what's the point of denying what is evident? at the request of Compass Education (an international and independent organization focused on sustainability education). Miss Lolis' article was published on August 8, 2024 on the World Education Blog, reaching an audience of 25,000 people.
When asked what her purpose was in writing the article, Miss Lolis responded, "My intention was to show what our school is doing to integrate the topic of climate change into the curriculum, from the perspective of a teacher and her students in the classroom, because reading and writing to understand the reality that surrounds us is undoubtedly a global action from the local and a personal level."
Congratulations, Miss Lolis!
